CNW Diesels by Hydrothrax CNW Diesels by Hydrothrax
It's Kyle and CNW #6847! Either 6847 is having a 'well back in MY day...' moment, or they're discussing something. I wonder! ;)

I tried to make the SD40-2 look a little older and drew him with more dirt and all 8D heck I tried to add more mud and stuff to their wheels, plows and tanks...because otherwise they look TOO clean. Trains...are pretty much never spotless. Unless it's my little OCD engine, Pulse. LOL~

These two are :iconlord-atmo:'s characters, but they actually exist and the numbers are real 8) FTW. Hah I did the same with my engine characters :XD:

fffff sneak-posting this too, will have to answer comments later!

eeeenjoy! 8)

Beautiful renditions and I'm familiar with the actual prototypes.  My father worked for the CN&W for 25 years in their main Chicago yard (Proviso).  CN&W diesel usually looked marginally better than most other railroads... if only because paint was their favorite patching material.  :XD:

Thanks!

And that's awesome! These were drawn for a friend who also grew up around that railroad :D haha!

Spent my first years growing up around that same railroad.  :D  Now I just model railroads in HO scale.  :D  And yes, I do have some C&NW stuff.

Nice job. I would be cool if someone made an animated series like Thomas the Tank Engine, but with anthropomorphic North American Diesels.

nope XD they're different diesel types; one is an SD40-2 and the other is an SD60. US diesels are easy to mix up if you're not that familiar with them ;)
